If your desire a standard cheeseburger and fries during Halloween Horror Nights then Mel's Die-In is the place for you. Now, if you are looking to bring more flavor options to your HHH dining, then you have come to the right place. I'm back for another week great reviews and full bellies. Here's our top 3 food items for the week of 09/11/21. Surprising enough to me, this was my favorite treat of the week. As interestingly enough as the Reibekuchen sounds, this was actually great. I am not convinced that the $7.99 price is worth the portion size we received but this was flavorful. Let's be honest though, I will be back for more soon. So, you might be wondering what makes up a dish called Reibekuchen. It is a potato fritter topped with applesauce, pumpernickel crumble, chives, and crème fraīche (similar to sour cream) on the side. If you want theme park food outside the ordinary then this dish is a quality option. Bag O' Donuts (Vegetarian) in the middle of Revenge of The Mummy and TRANSFORMERS: 3-D show Buildings I don't know about you but cinnamon-sugar donuts and apple cider are a traditional treat I would do with my family and friends after a day picking pumpkins and walking through the corn mazes in Michigan. When we heard there was gonna be a bag of donuts, we got very excited. Now these aren't the mini donuts cooked fresh off the Belshaw Mark 6 Donut Robot, but these are still a great option for four nice sized donuts. If you can't tell I know a lot about the production of donuts. You can get these donuts in powered sugar or cinnamon sugar for $6.99 plus tax. As you walking through CityWalk to get to your stay and scream area, I recommend stopping by Starbucks and getting a cup of water for your long wait until you and the other HHN gremlins are let lose. If your looking to be a little more adventurous though, we may have a treat for you. This alternative is called the Island Tea. It is being offered during Annual Passholder Appreciation Days at in-park and Citywalk Starbucks locations at Universal Orlando Resort. If your not an annual passholder and you ask nice enough the lovely Team Members may make the drink for you. The recipe is coconut milk with peach juice and raspberry, shaken and topped with passion tea. Keep in mind if you try to have this made at your local Starbucks, the peach juice and raspberry may not be in stock. Passholder Appreciation Days do end September 30th so act fast. Speaking of drinks, Remember to take water break to stay hydrated when at Universal Orlando. If you've bought a Coca-Cola Freestyle Cup earlier in the day, make it a priority to keep it filled up. Your freestyle cups are valid until 1:59am the next morning to accommodate for the event. You wouldn't want to have to stop the fun because of dehydration. As a wise man once said "Hydrate, don't Die-drate." I hope everyone gets out there and tries some devilishly good food.
