, Another week has gone by and the team and I bring you three more treats to add to your list of snacks to try during your trip to Halloween Horror Nights. As normal, my sweet tooth got the best of me. I present to you more sweet treats , but no worries I have a savory option that will fill your bellies. The first food item I present to you can be found at Today Cafe at the front of Universal Studios Florida. The Pumpkin Cream Cheese Crème Brûlée is a dessert with a cheesecake consistency. It does have a strong pumpkin taste. If you are like me, you will love it. Now, a true crème brûlée isn't really there. This is most definitely more of a cheesecake option, but still a great treat. Keep in mind that you don't have to wait until Halloween Horror Nights start each evening to enjoy these. These are offered all day at Today Cafe as daily supplies last. . As mentioned, I am always on the look out for the best desserts at Universal. My search lead me to this next treat. The Chocolate Spider Cake filled with Oreo cream filling is a cute little spider that looks realistic enough to walk off the plate. As far as the actual "cake", it is more a chocolate mousse torte. It has a small layer chocolate cake and chocolate mousse to create the dome shape. Nevertheless, it's a treat that is on my friend Keri's go to list. As promised, I am bringing an actual food item that will satisfy your hunger during the event. As many people know, I am a strong advocate for replacing Pizza Fries with anything else, Alas, i was out voted by the rest of the team. Pizza Fries consist of crinkle cut fries that are topped with pizza sauce, cheese, pepperoni, and sausage. The problem that many people encounter with this dish is that the fries are usually mushy since they are not crispy enough for the pizza sauce placed on top. Personally, I am not the biggest sausage or pepperoni fan. Even though it is not a HHN treat, I want to give an honorable mention to a savory option similar to Pizza Fries. During Passholder Days (through September 30th, 2021) they are offering a plant- based option at Green Eggs and Ham. The toppings on this creation were preferred by me over standard pepperoni and sausage. Whatever options you select, these are savory menu items to enhance your theme park experience. Either way, these are both two great options to try during your next trip. Those are this week's food options. Be sure to leave comments on what you thought of these treats and tell us about the treats you enjoy having while visiting Universal. We'll be back with more blog worthy options for you to sink your fork into on your next trip soon. Until then, happy dining.
