Last holiday season Universal put together two of our favorite things, apple pie and an old-fashioned. The folks over at Velvet Bar in Universal’s Hard Rock Hotel shared with us the recipe to help bring a piece of cheer home for the holidays.

Here's what you'll need:

2 oz. Apple Pie Corn Whiskey
½ teaspoon of sugar
Orange slice
Dirty cherry
3 dashes of bitters
Cinnamon stick
Fresh apple slice

Ingredients

2 oz. aged rum
1 ½ oz. demerara sugar simple syrup and allspice dram (recipe below)
- 1 cup of demerara sugar
- 1 cup of warm water
- 2 tbsp. of allspice berries
- 1 cup of aged rum
- ½ oz. lime juice
- ½ oz. lemon juice
- 1 lime wedge
- 1 orange
- 1 cinnamon stick
